A Wedding Day Full of Love, Tradition, and Magic
Wei-Synn and Michael's December 14, 2024, wedding at the Elm Hurst Inn was a perfect celebration of love, culture, and joy — and it was filled with more surprises than most weddings we've ever had the honour of documenting. Even in the freezing cold, the warmth in that room was impossible to miss.
We started bright and early at 7:30 AM. The girls were already buzzing with excitement — hair, makeup, and the most beautiful details: Wei-Synn's intricate jewellery, the delicate lace on her gowns (yes, gowns — plural, she had three stunning looks). Michael shared thoughtful gifts with his groomsmen while Wei-Synn handed out heartfelt gifts to her bridesmaids. Laughs, smiles, and happy tears, and the day had barely started.
After the tea ceremony, Wei-Synn changed into her breathtaking white wedding dress for two incredibly sweet first looks — one with her parents, one with Michael. Their ceremony in the cozy indoor space was short, sweet, and personal — they had already exchanged private vows through letters earlier in the day, making the ceremony a moment truly shared with everyone they love.
Despite the freezing temperatures, the whole bridal party powered through for outdoor portraits that were absolutely gorgeous. Then the reception kicked off at 3:00 PM — grand entrance, touching speeches, parent dances, and dinner. But Wei-Synn and Michael had surprises up their sleeves.
First: a beautiful family performance — Wei-Synn and her father sang a heartfelt song, her brother on guitar, and then her mom joined for another that had everyone smiling and clapping. Second, and the highlight of the night: the Wushu Project's lion dance. The energy in the room was electric. And just when everyone thought the night was wrapping up, Wei-Synn disappeared for one final outfit change — returning in a bold black gown inspired by Wednesday Addams. She looked incredible.
