October: A Month of Sweet Moments and Magical Memories
October brought all the good vibes—fall leaves, cozy family sessions, stunning weddings, and even a dream trip to Disney. While it started with plenty of photoshoots (and some cake!), the month ended with memories I'll cherish forever. Here's what October looked like through my lens as a London, Ontario photographer and videographer.
Starting the Month with Cake and Curls
I kicked off October with one of my favourite types of sessions: a cake smash! Ruby’s little boy turned one, and honestly, is there anything cuter than a baby covered in cake? The answer is no. His curly hair and sweet smile made these photos absolutely perfect, and I can’t get over how adorable they turned out.
From Three to Four with Tiffany’s Family
Later that same day, I captured Tiffany and her family as they prepared to go from three to four. While they’ve chosen to keep their photos private, I can promise you the love and excitement they shared was so heartwarming.
A Special Day for My Sister
My sister’s baby shower was one of the highlights of the month. I can’t wait to meet my new niece, little Miss Violet, and spoil her just as much as my other niece and nephew.
Rebecca & Jason’s Wedding
I made my way to Whitby to capture Rebecca and Jason’s wedding at Carvers Cottage. While they’ve asked me to keep their photos private, I still wanted to share some stunning detail shots from their day. The venue was beautiful, and it was a joy to document their love story in such a picturesque setting.
Lisa & George’s Wedding at Whistle Bear
The next day, I was back on the wedding grind at Whistle Bear in Cambridge, where Lisa and George tied the knot. The day was absolutely breathtaking, from the emotional ceremony to the lively reception. Their wedding video turned out amazing, and you can check out their highlight video below!
Family Fun with Kianna & Thanksgiving with Liz
On Sunday, I captured some family photos for Kianna and her crew, including their adorable puppy! The fall colours were on full display, making the perfect backdrop for their session.
Thanksgiving Monday was spent with Liz and her big, beautiful family. It was an extended family session with her kids and grandkids on their stunning property. The autumn leaves and wide-open land gave us so many gorgeous photo opportunities.
Back-to-Back Weddings and Big Smiles
Mid-month, I second-shot for Alexia Cina Photography in Cambridge. The next day, we teamed up again to capture Amanda and Nick’s wedding at Bogey’s Inn. For this wedding, I handled both photography and videography. The love, laughter, and moments we captured made this day unforgettable. Check out some of my favourite photos and their highlight video below!
Candace & Sol’s Engagement
After the wedding weekend, I headed to Elm Hurst for Candace and Sol’s engagement session. We made the most of the vibrant fall colours and even set up a romantic picnic for them to enjoy. I stayed to capture a few sweet moments before leaving them to relax and soak in the love.
Fall Minis at Meadowlily
Fall minis are always a favourite of mine, and Meadowlily provided the perfect backdrop. I had the pleasure of working with two families:
- Haley and her adorable little girl. Fun fact: I met Haley at her sister’s wedding earlier this year!
- Miranda and her family of four, who were absolute naturals in front of the camera.
The fall colours and cozy vibes made these sessions extra special.
Disney Dreams Come True
After a packed month of work, it was finally time for a little fun. I took my niece on a long-awaited trip to Disney, and it was everything I hoped it would be. Watching her light up at the magic of Disney was priceless. We’d been planning this trip for two years, and it was worth every moment of waiting.
From meeting her favourite characters to exploring the parks, it was a once-in-a-lifetime memory for both of us.
Unfortunately, the trip home came with an unwanted souvenir—a nasty bug that knocked me out for two weeks. Luckily, I didn’t have any sessions booked during that time, so I didn’t have to reschedule anyone. After some much-needed rest, I’m finally back to feeling like myself and ready for November!
What’s Coming Next?
November is shaping up to be a month full of cozy moments and creative sessions. Stay tuned for more updates, more gorgeous photos, and plenty of love captured through my lens. Thanks for following along on this journey!
