December: Wrapping Up the Year with Love, Laughter, and Snowy Magic

December was a whirlwind of festive sessions, family love, and one last incredible wedding to round out the year! As a London, Ontario photographer and videographer, I’m constantly reminded of how much I adore what I do—especially during the holiday season when I get to see so many families come together.


Here’s what December looked like for BMann Studios, and spoiler alert: it was packed with love, a little snow, and even a kitten or two.

Magical White Christmas Minis

We started the month off with our White Christmas Minis, where I got to meet six amazing families and capture their magical holiday moments.


What made these sessions even more special was that many of the families were couples whose weddings I’d photographed in the past! Seeing them again, now with new additions to their families, was such a privilege. First Christmases are always so precious, and I’m so grateful I got to be a part of them.

A Festive Finale: Green Christmas Minis


The second round of our Green Christmas Minis wrapped up our holiday sessions for the year. Three wonderful families joined me to create some final festive memories on our vintage green couch.


Holiday minis are always such a joy to photograph, and this year’s sessions were no exception. Smiles, laughter, and so much holiday cheer made every moment special.

Elm Hurst Elegance: Wei Synn & Michael’s Wedding


On December 14th, I had the pleasure of capturing Wei Synn and Michael’s wedding at Elm Hurst. Their day was absolutely stunning, filled with meaningful traditions and heartfelt moments.


We started with a beautiful tea ceremony, followed by family photos and their touching ceremony. Afterward, we moved into a gorgeous dinner reception, complete with traditional Chinese lion dances that had everyone on their feet!

BMann Studios captured both photo and video of the day, and while the video is still in the works, I couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek of the photos. Stay tuned for their full wedding blog—it’s going to be worth the wait!

Snowy Portraits with Pups: A Special Session


On December 22nd, I met up with Wei Synn and Michael again at Michael’s family home for a unique couple’s portrait session. Instead of doing an engagement session before the wedding, the couple decided to wait for snow so they could include their adorable dogs.


This session was everything—snow, dogs, and a love that shines through every photo. These two made my job so easy, and the photos turned out beautifully!

A Busy December 23rd: Capturing Family Love

December 23rd was surprisingly busy, with back-to-back family sessions all over London. Here's a quick look at the day:

  • Riley’s Family Session: We started at her husband’s grandparents’ house to capture some special photos of their family while everyone was in town.
  • Julia’s Family at Civic Gardens: Next, I braved the cold with Julia, her sister, and their parents for a stunning outdoor session. The chill was worth it because the photos turned out amazing!
  • Zoe’s Family Session with Kittens: My last stop was at Zoe’s parents’ house, where we took indoor family photos—and even included their rescued kittens. I had to fight every urge to take one home, but I don’t think Thyson, Rupert, or Rogue would’ve appreciated the new addition!


Ending the Year with a Blast: Lindsay’s Family Session


My final session of the year was with Lindsay and her extended family. We met at her parents’ home and captured some fantastic indoor shots since the rain kept us from going outside.


This family brought so much energy and fun to the session, and we even wrapped things up with some Sears-style remakes of their childhood photos. It was the perfect way to end the year on a high note!

Reflecting on 2024


What a year it’s been! From capturing magical holiday moments to snowy weddings and everything in between, I’m beyond grateful for all the incredible families, couples, and individuals I had the privilege of working with this year.
