2025 was one of those years that flew by in the best way possible. Full calendars, full memory cards, and even fuller hearts. From weddings and family sessions to newborn snuggles, cake smash chaos, and some pretty big personal milestones, this year reminded me why I love being a photographer and videographer. Here’s a look back at everything that made this year unforgettable.
January
The year kicked off strong with a maternity session for Celinah and Majdi as they prepared to welcome their first baby. Shortly after, we celebrated Thomas with a clean, simple cake smash on a white backdrop that let his personality shine. On a personal note, my sister welcomed her first baby just one day after Thyson and I celebrated our 12-year anniversary. Watching her step into motherhood has already been one of the highlights of the year.
February
February brought even more baby magic as Celinah and Majdi welcomed their sweet baby boy, and I captured their newborn session right at home. I also had the privilege of photographing the WILL event, which is always such a meaningful experience. Outside of work, I got creative at a Valentine’s cookie decorating class with my bestie and dressed up for Thyson’s work gala, a fun reminder that balance matters too.
March
March was full of personality, starting with Emily’s Hungry Hungry Caterpillar cake smash. The faces she made during that session still make me laugh. Toward the end of the month, I headed to Toronto to second shoot a wedding with Alexia, which is always such an honour. Personally, puzzle night at Kellogg’s Power House with friends turned competitive fast and yes, we won.
April
April brought newborn snuggles with baby Quinn and a retro daisy cake smash for Layla that was groovy in all the right ways. The rest of the month was spent celebrating my birthday in Toronto and cheering Thyson on during a poker tournament. A quieter month creatively, but still full of joy.
May
May kicked things into high gear. Mommy-and-me sessions filled the studio, including sweet moments with Riley & Beau and Barbara & Lily. Dani’s maternity session in the pouring rain reminded me that sometimes the best photos happen when plans don’t go as expected.
Magnolia Minis bloomed beautifully in Springbank Park, and engagement sessions, cake smashes, newborns, family photos, and birthdays filled the calendar fast.
Wedding season officially began with Sophia & Ryan at Elora Mill on May 9, followed by Anisha & Cameron at Bogey’s Inn on May 24. I also had the honour of second shooting Miranda & Noah’s wedding. Somewhere in between all of that, I discovered golf… and became completely obsessed.
June
June was all about maternity sessions, family photos, beach days, and sunshine. From park sessions to beach minis and maternity shoots at Heeman’s, this month was full of glowing moms and growing families. I also captured WILL’s AGM event at Boler Mountain and celebrated Erin & Blake’s wedding on June 21.
July
Summer hit fast, and July was packed with family sessions, extended family gatherings, newborn sessions, and milestone moments. Brittany & Josh’s wedding kicked things off, followed by Greg’s bachelor party and Lincoln’s third birthday. On July 19, Blayne & Liam tied the knot at a private family property a truly magical setting.
August
August started with the biggest surprise of all, Thyson proposed while we were away in Elora. After capturing so many love stories, getting to start planning my own was incredibly special.
The month continued with cake smashes, newborn sessions, extended family beach photos, and some absolutely stunning weddings. Nicole & Kylee said “I do” on August 2, Holly & Kyle were married up north in Muskoka
on August 9, and Candace & Sol celebrated at Elm Hurst on August 16, followed by Sarah & Ethan the very next day.
Somewhere in there, I asked my bridesmaids, celebrated my engagement with friends, and wrapped up the month by heading overseas for my best friend’s wedding in Turkey.
September
September began abroad, celebrating my best friend’s third wedding, this time in Mauritius, after ceremonies in Toronto and Turkey. Standing beside her for all three was truly an honour.
Back home, the calendar filled quickly with cake smashes, maternity sessions, newborns, family photos, and weddings. Kendra & Ryan were married at St. Mary’s Golf Course on September 25, followed by Mallori & Steve’s high-energy Bellamere wedding on September 27. We ended the month with beach family photos for a long-time client.
October
October opened with the Empowered Women’s Event, where we provided headshots for attendees. I captured a friend’s wedding at Boler Mountain, celebrated Krista & Greg, and dove headfirst into fall family sessions.
From vow renewals to rainy family photos, cake smashes, and endless fall colours, the month was packed. A personal highlight? A surprise trip to Game 1 of the Jays World Series.
November
As weddings slowed down, family sessions took centre stage. We soaked up the last of fall before heading indoors for holiday minis. This year included Night Before sessions in the studio, a one-day Velvet & Bows set at LR Studios Belmont, and the return of my Vintage Green Christmas sessions, which stretched into December to fit as many families as possible.
December
December was intentionally slower. Home for the Holidays sessions wrapped up just before Christmas, and after December 22, the camera was officially put away. The rest of the month was spent with family, celebrating the season, resting, and reflecting on just how far BMann Studios has come.
From weddings to family sessions, maternity, newborns, cake smashes, and events, this year was everything I could have hoped for and more. BMann Studios continues to grow because of the incredible couples, families, and communities who trust me to capture their stories. I’m endlessly grateful — and already excited to see what 2026 has in store.
Here’s to more love, more laughter, and many more memories ahead.
